Chicken, Sausage and Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup diced chicken breast
  • 8 ounces sliced smoked sausage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 10 ounces frozen broccoli florets
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • cups shredded cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet. Cook the diced chicken for 5-7 minutes until almost done, add sliced sausage, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they are golden brown and heated through. Add the garlic, and saute for another minute.
  • Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain. Add to the meat mixture.
  • Add the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, 1 cup of shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and mix well to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 3-quart baking dish (or keep it in the Oven-safe skillet if using one) and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 350° until the cheese is melted.
