National Potato Day 2026: Freebies and Deals
Potato lovers have a delicious reason to celebrate on August 19! National Potato Day is the perfect excuse to enjoy one of America’s favorite comfort foods, whether you prefer crispy fries, loaded baked potatoes, potato wedges, chips, or something a little more creative.
National Potato Day takes place every year on August 19, giving restaurants and food brands a chance to celebrate the humble potato with special menu items, freebies, and discounts. It’s one of several food holidays dedicated to potatoes, joining National French Fry Day in July and National Potato Chip Day on March 14.
So, what can you expect for National Potato Day 2026? I’ve put together the deals that have already been announced, along with some promotions we may see again based on offers from previous years.
Offers, prices, and participation may vary by location. Some promotions may require a rewards account, app, or other purchase.
