National Taco Day 2026: Free & Cheap Taco Deals
National Taco Day is coming up on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and if you love tacos, this is a great excuse to grab lunch or dinner without spending a lot. Several restaurants are celebrating with free tacos, BOGO offers, $1 and $2 tacos, and other special deals.
National Taco Day used to be celebrated on October 4, but that changed in 2024 when the holiday was moved to the first Tuesday in October. That means National Taco Day now falls on Taco Tuesday every year, giving us even more reason to celebrate with tacos!
Whether you’re looking for a free taco, a cheap meal, or just an excuse to visit your favorite Mexican restaurant, there are quite a few National Taco Day deals to check out this year. Keep in mind that rewards membership, app registration, purchase requirements, and participating locations may vary.
National Taco Day Deals 2026
Chuy’s
Chuy’s has one of the more entertaining National Taco Day offers this year. Dress up like a taco, order an entrée, and post a photo on social media using #ChuysTacoDay to get your entrée free.
Not ready to dress up like a taco? You can also add a crispy or soft ground beef taco to any entrée for just $1. These National Taco Day specials are available for dine-in on October 6.
Taco John’s
Taco John’s Rewards members can get a free Beef Crispy Taco with any purchase on October 6.
The free taco reward is valid for 14 days, giving you a little extra time to use it if you don’t want your taco immediately.
Torchy’s Tacos
Torchy’s Tacos Rewards members can enjoy a BOGO taco deal for National Taco Day.
The offer is valid on October 6 and can be used for orders placed in the restaurant, online, or through the Torchy’s app.
Moe’s Southwest Grill
Moe’s Southwest Grill is celebrating with $2 tacos. Rewards members can get up to three tacos for $2 each from October 6 through October 11.
If you’re ordering online, you’ll need to be a Moe’s Rewards member. For in-store orders, mention the offer when ordering.
El Pollo Loco
El Pollo Loco Rewards members can grab three chicken tacos for $5 for National Taco Day.
The offer is available in-restaurant, online, or through the app and is valid through October 6.
Jack in the Box
Jack Pack members can get two tacos for just 75¢ with an in-app purchase on National Taco Day.
The 75¢ taco offer is available October 6. It will also be available on Tuesdays after National Taco Day through December 27, making this one worth remembering if you’re a fan of Jack in the Box tacos.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is offering $2 Original Tacos on National Taco Day.
Rewards members will also receive a scratch-off card with a guaranteed prize. Prizes can include free chips and queso, taco deals, or even free tacos for a year. Scratch-off rewards are valid from October 7 through December 31 for dine-in or pickup.
Taco Bell
Taco Bell is also getting in on the National Taco Day fun. Taco Bell Rewards members can unlock one month of Super Duolingo for free through October 6.
Taco Bell is also launching its new Duo Habanero Sauce on October 6, so this is a good time to check the Taco Bell app for the latest National Taco Day offers and drops.
