64 oz bottle of apple cider

64 oz bottle of apple juice

1 cup white granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

3 cinnamon sticks

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or ground cinnamon)

1 (750ml) bottle of Everclear (or vodka)

Instructions
1. Simmer the Apple Base
In a large stock pot, combine the apple cider, apple juice, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and pumpkin pie spice.
While stirring to dissolve the sugars, bring the mixture to a light boil. Once it begins to boil, reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
2. Cool Completely
After simmering for 30 minutes, remove the pot from the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
This step is very important — do not add the alcohol while the mixture is still warm, or it can cause the alcohol to evaporate.
3. Add the Alcohol
Once fully cooled, remove the cinnamon sticks and stir in the bottle of Everclear (or vodka). Mix thoroughly to combine.
How to Store Apple Pie Moonshine
Pour into clean mason jars or bottles and seal tightly. Store in a cool, dark place or in the refrigerator.
Because of the alcohol content, this recipe keeps well for an extended period when properly sealed.
The higher-proof versions can be safely stored for 2-3 years in a cool, dark location.

Ingredients
- 64 oz bottle of apple cider
- 64 oz bottle of apple juice
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

- After 30 minutes remove from heat and let cool completely. When cool remove the cinnamon sticks and add the Everclear. Don't add the alcohol until completely cool or it will evaporate.
