Chicken, Sausage, and Broccoli Casserole

To get started, preheat your oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the diced chicken. Cook for 5–7 minutes, just until the chicken is mostly cooked through. Add the sliced smoked sausage and continue cooking for another 2–3 minutes per side, allowing it to brown slightly and heat through. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute, just until fragrant.
While the meat cooks, prepare the broccoli according to the package directions and drain well. Add the cooked broccoli to the skillet with the chicken and sausage. Next, stir in the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, 1 cup of the shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until the sauce is smooth and evenly coats the meat and broccoli
If your skillet is oven-safe, you can leave everything right where it is. Otherwise, transfer the mixture to a 3-quart baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheese evenly over the top.
Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the casserole is heated through. Serve hot and enjoy a creamy, hearty meal that comes together quickly and requires minimal cleanup.

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup diced chicken breast
- 8 ounces sliced smoked sausage
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 10 ounces frozen broccoli florets
- 4 ounces softened cream cheese
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1½ cups shredded cheese, divided
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Melt butter in a large skillet. Cook the diced chicken for 5-7 minutes until almost done, add sliced sausage, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they are golden brown and heated through. Add the garlic, and saute for another minute.
- Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain. Add to the meat mixture.
- Add the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, 1 cup of shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and mix well to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a 3-quart baking dish (or keep it in the Oven-safe skillet if using one) and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese over the top.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350° until the cheese is melted.
